The Renaissance noticed the continuation of curiosity in magic that were found in the Medieval time period, and in this period, there was an elevated fascination in Hermeticism between occultists and ceremonial magicians in Europe, mostly fueled through the 1471 translation of the ancient Corpus hermeticum into Latin by Marsilio Ficino (1433–99).
